Process
Last come first.
The first step is to choose a Last, we have three types of Last you can check for more info here
Upper.
Once the last is chosen we decide on the upper design, we have three uppers for now. You can check the upper in our info page or going directly to our On Demand boots.
Once the upper is chosen we choose the leather and cut the pattern out of it, then we sew it and gets ready for the lasting process.
Lasting.
Lasting is the next step, we place the upper in the last and give the boot its shape, this is a handmade process that takes time and effort, but ultimately gets all the attention to detail only a pair of well-experience hands have.
Construction
Cordobes preferred boot construction is a stitchdown construction, a very popular type of construction with boot enthusiast.
The construction is simple but very hefty and durable.
Upper
Leather sock liner
10 oz Leather insole
Steel shank
12oz Leather midsole
EcoRubber sole * Ecorubber is our preferred type of sole but we have other options on our Made to Order program.
Finishing.
The finishing is what gives the sole edge its color, it can be black, brown or natural.
